Veggie Babies

Lillian has been eating a lot lately. This past month had the stomach flu and an ear infection, that cut her apatite for a while. Now she is well and has been eating like crazy. For lunch on Monday she she ate an entire banana and most of an apple (she stole the apple from another baby!) plus some crackers. Last weekend we cooked some asparagus risotto and artichokes and she loved them both.

It's a good thing Lillian loves her veggies because we just joined a CSA and are expecting our first box of fresh veggies tomorrow. We are very excited about the bounty of veggies coming tomorrow.

In other milestones, Lillian has taken her first tentative steps this week. She isn't walking yet, but she cruises like a pro and will take a step or two if she has nothing to hang on to. We're looking forward to seeing her walking develop over the next few weeks. She is also working on a few more teeth, one of her lateral incisors is just starting to poke through the gum. Lillian may have a fang until the other incisors come in.

The CSA sounds really cool. I'm excited to hear how you like it.

It's been great. So far, we made escarole salad, roasted parsnips, a giant batch of coleslaw.
