Lillian turned 8 this past week and we celebrated with a low-key party in the park. When we asked Lillian what she wanted for her birthday party she had two requests, Swedish Princess Cake and lots of balloons. Those requests were easy enough to fulfill. We were surprised when we were informed during party setup that we weren't to blow the balloons up for decorations. Instead we were intended to just leave them in the bag for the kids to play with during the party. This turned out to be hours of entertainment, though almost none of the balloons survived the festivities.
