Ukulele Jam

This evening we attended our very first Ukulele Jam, and I'm sure it won't be our last. We had heard about the monthly jam at a Cafe a few blocks away from our home from the local paper and our neighbors. Tonight we finally took the plunge and decided to check it out. The friendly folks running the jam loaned us a "Uke" and started the jam with an introductory lesson to teach us some of the basic cords. Eric did most of the strumming, but Lillian did have a chance to do a little summing of her own. In about 45 minutes Eric fairly well mastered C, F and G7 allowing him to play a good chunk of the group's songbook. We had to leave early for bed, so the more complex stuff will have to wait for future sessions.
