Lillian's school had their end of year picnic and concert this evening. Lillian has been practicing the signature song "It's a small world" for weeks in preparation for the big day. She was super excited about it, especially since she got to wear her special princess dress that Grammy made her. I think Lillian saw me filming the performance and was looking at the camera, which made her neighbor Prana unhappy. He really wanted her to look straight ahead, and they had to be separated as can be seen in the video. Despite the small hitch, the concert was a big success and there was a lot of yummy food to eat afterward.

Auntie Erin's Visit
This past weekend Auntie Erin and her boyfriend Preston came up for a visit. After we finished our obligatory Memorial Day barbecue, we took them for an outing to Hidden Villa where Lillian taught them the finer points of chicken catching. By the end of our visit to the chicken yard both of them had managed to catch a chicken.
Erin also brought Lillian a birthday present, a new addition to our tree swing collection. The single rope swing is great fun, especially since the limb it is attached to is 30 feet high. Not only can you swing, you can revolve and practice Frisbee throws with it. It truly is a marvel of backyard engineering.
